An extremely important case as this one can be used to teach what a bad hair transplant could turn into. A lot of people are fooled by the shiny advertisements, fake promises or celebrity endorsements, or the low prices being offered for transplant. But one should understand that hair transplant is a journey and requires careful planning for it to be successful. Many clinics do not explain that fact and give a low hairline to the patient which later on can become a big burden to carry for your whole life.

A lot of factors have to be considered before giving the hairline. You are unique and so should be your treatment plan. As is evident in the pre pictures, not only the hairline is of a bad shape, but the angles and direction of the graft placement is also wrong. Repair surgeries are very difficult and require a lot of precision and patience.

The extraction of the transplanted hair was done very carefully and the hairline redesigned keeping the age and the current pattern of hair fall and progressing baldness in mind. The grafts were distributed keeping all these factors in mind. The patient was already taking 1mg finasteride daily along with twice daily application of 10% minoxidil, as was told him by his first transplant doctor.

The patient saw good results of transplant only till he took these medications. Once he stopped it, his result just vanished in thin air and the loopholes of his first transplant became evident. This clearly shows how finasteride can magnanimously exaggerate all aspects of transplant results.

After his transplant at Satya, we advised him to start just1mg/week of finasteride which was 1/7th of his previous dose. The idea behind this was to sustain his existing hairs only. The difference in the hairline as well as the overall appearance is remarkable. The patient understood the difference between real transplant done with surgical expertise and fake transplant done with the help of full dose of finasteride. So, that is one of our principles — to bring out the truth. And we prove that with our actions more than the words.
